Freixenet Cava Gran Cordon Negro Brut
The delicate, subtle aromas of the Perellada grape from selected high altitude vineyards, give this Cava its tremendous personality. The palate is elegant and appealing with excellent harmony between body, structure and acidity.
The flavour is dry, exceptionally elegant and pleasing with an aristocratic background of jam and incense that is particularly persistent. It has body yet is wrapped in a silky texture and exceptional energy. This wine gives Champagne a run for its money!!
Although it is still young, this vintage of Cristal promises great things. There’s an impressive balance between ripe fruit and crisp acidity, rich and food friendly, but also a fine apéritif. Apricot and grapefruit flavors are round and rich, but with considerable minerality as well.
The Mortitx vineyard is located in the “Sierra de Tramuntana”, 390m above sea-level offering its own Micro-climate which gives their wines unique expression of the terrain in which they grow. Pink Salmon colour, aromas reminiscent of white flowers and fruits, such as peaches and apricots. Fresh, complex, very good taste and well balanced.
A very smooth & intense wine with waves of Atlantic freshness typical of vintages from the high Westerly provinces of La Rioja. Elegant, delicate, with a good body that persists through the mouth. The fruit is very complex and spicy, finishing with an explosion of freshness.
Gérard Perse became the new owner of Chateau Pavie in 1998. From this day on, he has transformed the wines on his estate in less than 20yrs to “ Premier Grand Cru Classé A”. He also has under his belt, Pavie Decesse, Bellvue Mondotte, Espirit de Pavie and Clos Lunells. A true genius of his trade!!
